Ms. Yngvil Eriksson Åsheim

Ms. Yngvil Eriksson Åsheim has a long career in the maritime industry and is currently the Managing Director of BW LNG, owning and operating one of the world’s biggest fleet of LNG carriers and floating regasification terminals (FSRUs).

Ms. Åsheim started her career at DNV as a surveyor in 1993 and held various positions within the classification society. In 2002, she joined Höegh Fleet Services. Subsequently, she was appointed as EVP of Höegh Autoliners, responsible for global operation and ship management. She joined BW in 2010 and has been holding different positions across LPG, LNG and oil tankers. She holds a Master’s in Marine Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU). Ms. Åsheim has also held several board positions and is currently a Director of BW Ideol and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
