H.E. Geir Michalsen

Counsellor Geir Michalsen is the Chargé d’affaires, a.i. of the Norwegian Embassy in Manila.
He is a longstanding Foreign Service employee, with previous postings in Africa. He holds University degrees in Political Science and Management.
He came to Manila from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Security Policy.
Upon taking up his position at the Embassy in Manila has recently stepped down as Board member for the GCERF, the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund in Geneva.
He served as the interim Chair of the Advisory Council for Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime – Resilience Fund in Vienna, and as Chair the of Foreign Service Chapter of the Federation of Norwegian Professional Associations.
