As President and CEO, Mr. Rubio is at the helm of AboitizPower’s transformation journey towards a better world. With his leadership, the company pursues significant growth in its generation portfolio in the next 10 years, aiming for a 50:50 balance between Cleanergy (renewable energy) and thermal capacities. This strategy is fully supportive of the Philippine government’s efforts to build the country’s renewable energy market and of the global sustainability goals.
Because of his stellar track record in driving growth, Mr. Rubio has held and currently holds various executive positions in other AboitizPower-owned companies and subsidiaries. He began his career with the Aboitiz Group as CEO of SN Aboitiz Power Inc., then later on appointed as Chief Operating Officer of AboitizPower Generation Business Group, and COO of AboitizPower prior to his appointment as President and CEO.
He holds an Executive Certificate in Directorship from the Singapore Management University-Singapore Institute of Directors (SMU-SID) and finished the Advanced Management Program and The Lead Program at Columbia University and INSEAD.
